We're in London!

Success! We made it to London! The flight was a little squishy, but didn't feel as long as I thought it would. We took the train into London and by the time we found Iain's flat it was almost 10am! I took a 4 hour nap and we were ready to go! We did our own little walking tour this afternoon with stops at Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, and my absolute favorite - the Broad Street Pump!! For those of you that don't know, the Broad Street Pump is the birth place of modern epidemiology where John Snow removed the Broad Street pump handle and stopped the cholera epidemic! In the background of the picture is the John Snow Pub!!

After all the excitement at the pump we headed to "Gem" for a free glass of beer or wine! It helped my head hurt less after I stood up into a doorway in Iain's flat... I definitely have a lump and this glass of wine helped greatly!! Thanks to Brad for suggesting that we "take the back door" ... that was Brad who coined the phrase. Absolutely not Rick Steeves ;)

Hopefully we will be able to see more sights tomorrow and shake-off our jet-lag!

Away we go!!

Brad and I are waiting at Gate D66 for our plane to start boarding! We are all prepared for our 10 hour flight with very intellectual magazines (Life & Style... Teen Mom pregnant AGAIN!?! I have to read this!) and other equally stimulating things to keep us entertained.

I'm super excited for my first time outside of North America!! Europe here we come! And the Stanley Cup Final schedule was just released and it looks like we will be watching hockey in Rome, Venice, Paris, AND potentially London! Go Canucks Go!!

We have a slight snafu ... my netbook only reads SD cards... and my camera only takes XD cards... so pictures will be along shortly. Fingers crossed!

UPDATE! Brad bought a usb converter for the XD card! Success for pictures!
